About Hogswood

International experience. Personal perspective.

Hogswood offers independent specialist advisory and implementation support, drawing on founder Adrian Hogg’s 25+ years in financial services and investment business. His experience includes more than a decade across blockchain, digital assets and tokenisation, together with senior advisory, executive and board roles in regulated markets worldwide.

Born in the United Kingdom, Adrian spent his formative years in Germany before returning to the UK for university and his professional qualifications. Over the course of 25 years, he lived and worked in Australia, the British Virgin Islands and Gibraltar. He is currently based in the United Kingdom.

This international exposure has shaped both Adrian’s career and the approach Hogswood brings to its services. His experience includes KPMG, ten years as a Grant Thornton partner, employment with a Hong Kong-headquartered bank, and CEO, COO and board roles within licensed and regulated entities globally.

Adrian brings the perspective of an operator as well as an adviser. He spent ten years as a director of the Gibraltar Stock Exchange, including seven years in executive roles, and also held executive directorships of a stock exchange in Labuan, Malaysia, an Offshore Virtual Currency Exchange in Cagayan, Philippines, and a Digital Asset Service Provider operating an RWA marketplace in El Salvador. He additionally served as a non-executive director of a Digital Payment Token Exchange in Singapore.

From inside regulated businesses, Adrian has dealt directly with regulators, technology, day-to-day operations, policy and governance frameworks. He has served on compliance, listing, exchange and members’ committees, working alongside boards, legal advisers, compliance teams, technology providers and commercial partners across Europe, Asia and the Americas. This experience informs the practical perspective Hogswood brings to regulatory expectations, commercial priorities and differing business cultures across markets.

Earlier in his career, Adrian founded and directed a licensed fund administration business and was a director of a licensed trustee and company-management business, holding each role for more than a decade. His regulatory experience extends beyond exchanges to investment firms, e-money institutions, fund businesses and other licensed financial-services providers.

Across multiple jurisdictions, his product experience spans traditional and alternative investment funds, private equity, real estate, special-purpose vehicles, trust and corporate structures, digital assets and tokenisation structures. Adrian is also a former two-term Chairman of the Gibraltar Funds and Investments Association and has contributed to industry and regulatory forums, including the GFSC Funds Panel and AIFMD Working Group.

Beyond work

An active outlook

Adrian has always maintained an active, outdoor lifestyle. His interests have included running, football, hockey, sprint triathlons, open-water swimming and tennis. While living in the British Virgin Islands, he served for three years as tennis captain of the Tortola Sports Club, and was chairman of the BVI Swimming Club. He is now a keen rower at Stourport Boat Club on the River Severn, whose origins date back to 1876.

An adventurous traveller, Adrian has visited more than 50 countries across six continents. His experiences have ranged from off-roading in the Sahara to skiing in the Alps, surfing in Australia, sailing in the Caribbean, jungle trekking in Southeast Asia, and cycling and kayaking in Europe.

A name with roots

Personal provenance. Long-term perspective.

The name Hogswood comes from Hogswood Grebe—the Kennel Club name of Adrian’s family dog, Rio, a working golden retriever. It gives the business a personal connection to family, loyalty and permanence, while the tree within the mark represents strong roots, steady growth and long-term value.
